I think the instructions for configuring the kernel when running dce linux
are incorrect?

According to the instructions here:
https://media.readthedocs.org/pdf/ns-3-dce/dce-1.9/ns-3-dce.pdf
one can configure the linux kernel by editing the file "arch/sim/defconfig".

First the path is incorrect: it should be arch/*lib*/ not arch/sim (this
one is easy enough to figure out because there is no sim sub-directory :-)
Second, I believe the file that needs to be edited is Kconfig in the top
level directory. When I edited the defconfig file, the changes were not
picked up into the .config file but were picked up when I edited the
Kconfig file.

Has anyone had similar experience? Is Kconfig the right file to use to
configure the kernel?
